About Me!

Allen McBride is an aspiring singer, songwriter, and actor born and raised in Gainesville, FL. Growing up in a musical family, he began his musical journey at the age of 4 when he sang his first solo in his Pre-K holiday concert. From there, Allen continued to perform as a soloist for many church choirs and other events such as school and college events as well as other events including NAACP events. He has performed with Maestro Evans Haile and the Gainesville Orchestra, various professional theatres, and was the main vocalist in the Gainesville Retro Society band for a period of time. Allen has been taught under the tutelage of various actors, performers, and teachers including but not limited to Hamilton alumni Nik Walker, actor Carl Kennedy, Director of Apollo Theatre's Amateur Night Marion J. Caffey, Operatic Soprano singer Barbara Padilla, singer, songwriter, and musician Joy Banks, and actor BD Wong just to name a few.  Current education includes an Associates degree in Musical Theatre from Santa Fe Community college, graduating from Stella Adler's Musical Theatre Intensive in NYC, and he is currently studying Performing Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
